Stories Stories Stories...
We have had great fun this term learning all about different stories from around the world. We have compared these stories, made the characters into puppets, experimented with materials to help characters if they needed it in the future and so much more! We also took part in some great Easter fun in the last few afternoons of school :-)
Starry starry night...
WHAT A TERM! We loved learning so much about space and the homework that was received was AMAZING!!! Here are some snippets of our learning captured on video during our presentation to our parents!
Hello I'm new here...
THE PANTO arrived at WPA!
Today we were lucky enough to have a panto group perform 'Jack and the beanstalk' to us... it was SOOOOOO funny and we loved joining in!! Check out the pictures and videos below:
Oh YES.... two weeks before CHRISTMAS and our crazy teacher is teaching us about time..... BUT WE ARE GETTING IT!!!!!! :-)
A sneak peak at our Christmas calendar photo booth!
Aliens HAVE landed and we have been making them pants!
After discovering the aliens have landed in the school field... and then finding out that they came here for underpants... We trialed and tested LOADS of different materials to see which would be the best for us to make the alien's the PERFECT pair of pants.
Getting ready for the Christmas play!
This week was Anti-bullying week 2016. We watched a few clips from the Anti-bullying website that showed some characters being bullied, we talked about how we might feel in this situation and then made a poster to help visitors to our school know what to do if they see bullying. Check out our poster by scrolling down below. Here we are fighting evil with our new anti-bullying masks during Anti Bullying week 2016:
What have we been up to?
We have been practising our number bonds to ten this term.... LOTS! Here is a great video that we found to help us remember those challenging pairs:
We were given the challenge recently of decorating a mask for the carnival parade. Our mask was displayed in Bridgwater town center for all to see... which was great considering how proud we were of it!
To kick start this term we have been reading the Jolly Postman (and the Twits, and a million other stories!). The Jolly Postman is the story we have chosen to be our focus story for Theme and English. We have so far pretended to be the characters twice. The first time we had to not tell anyone who we were and then give our friends clues. And today we had great fun outside acting out the story in three different groups. take a look at some of our acting photos below - Miss S tried to get most of them in action (a few are for the camera as she is not always great at this!)
